Library and Archives Canada Releases New Image Sets on Flickr

OTTAWA – Library and Archives Canada (LAC) has released two new image sets on Flickr: the Second World War and Alice Isaacson's Photo Album.

Alice Isaacson’s album photographs were taken while she was on duty as a nursing sister in Europe during the First World War.

Past image sets include Canadian participation and activities during the First World War, Irish immigration to Canada and immigration and quarantine facilities at Grosse Île. These collections highlight different periods of Canadian history and the stages Canada has gone through to become the modern nation it is today. LAC encourages visitors to explore its image sets on Flickr.com, which allows people to comment, tag, and share content.
