Photo and Interview Opportunities
Library and Archives Canada and Instinct Films are hosting a genealogy event for area students on the occasion of Heritage Day on Monday, February 18, 2008. The event will be held at 395 Wellington Street between 9:00 a.m. and noon, in Room A and Exhibition Room B.
Students from École du Lac-des-Fées will attend special interactive workshops, given by Library and Archives Canada's genealogy experts, and will be given instructions on how to trace their family roots. While one group attend these workshops, educators will show another group how to paint their own portrait in the Portrait Gallery's In Your Face exhibition room. The students will also be given a private screening of the exciting genealogy series for youth entitled La Quête. This innovative series is broadcast weekly on TFO and features Canadian children from varied backgrounds who are sent on a Quest to uncover their ancestry.
