Scope and content

Series consists of loose correspondence, records of committee meetings, and other individual documents relating to both immigration and manpower. These include: a letter and memorandum from W.D. Scott, Superintendent of Immigration, on the exclusion of certain types of immigrants, 1909 (Vol. 679; 7 pp., reel C-10680); minutes of the National Conference of Regional Information Service Advisors of the Department of Manpower and Immigration; two sessions, 1970, 1972 (Vol. 679; 62 pp., reel C-10680); the agenda of a meeting on publications of the Department of Manpower and Immigration, 1972; (Vol. 679; 7 pp., reel C-10680); and minutes of a special meeting of ministers responsible for federal and provincial Manpower programmes, ca. 1973 (Vol. 735; item 9). These records were transferred from the Department of Immigration in 1971 and 1979.
