In fact, these are the sailing lists of units of the Canadian Expeditionary Force and reinforcing drafts proceeding overseas from Canada. They are organized by the name of the unit or draft, and contain valuable biographical material including full name, service number, home address, name of next of kin, date of enlistment and any previous service for every soldier -- although published lists do not exist for every soldier who went overseas.
