The Participants -- Autobiography, Biography and Reminiscence

Short biographical sketches of all the major participants are in The Canadian encyclopedia. Much more full accounts of their lives are in the Dictionary of Canadian biography, especially volumes XI-XIII. Remember that the Dictionary is organized by the death date of the person being written about. Some of the important leaders, such as Gabriel Dumont, lived well into the 20th century.
