Gallery - Symbolic Landscapes
The ideological undercurrents of Canada's political, domestic, natural and religious landscapes have all motivated development and expansion. Photographs can illustrate these complex and imaginative concepts. For example, while the image of a church interior depicts religious architecture, we may instead choose to read it as a symbol of the great ambitions that prompted European exploration.
